She graduated a violin class in the musical
high school in Katowice (she also learnt how to be a conductor),
graduate of Jazz and Pop Music Faculty on the Musical Academy in
Katowice. Since October 1997 she became an asistent and then the
lecturer in a singing class on meantioned faculty (she was the first in
Poland to achieve title of doctor of pop singing). Since September 2008
she is a lecturer on the Drama Faculty on the Academy of Theatre in
Warszawa.
She is a laureateof numerous prizes, awards
and scholarships (for example: First Prize on the International Meetings
of Jazz Singers in Zamość, 1994). She worked with most valued stars of
jazz singers. Spring 2000 brought her a title of New Hope of Polish Jazz
1999 awarded by Jazz Forum users. In year 2004 she was awarded with
the Main Prize and the Prize of Audience on International Jazz Festival
in Montreux. In July 2006 Anna Serafińska was titled Lady Summertime
(grand prix and audience award) during the International Jazz Singers
Contest in Hammelin (Finland).
Anna Serafińska is dealing with all kinds of
jazz – from clasical to modern sounds – and kinds related to jazz (funk,
soul). She already created four solo albums.
First called “Nieobecni” (Absents) was
recorded to lyrics created by Jonasz Kofta with the music of Janusz
Strobel and Zbigniew Jaremko (1997 POLYGRAM POLSKA). Second album was
called “Melodies” (1999 SONY MUSIC POLSKA). Third album recorded to the
lyric created by Piotr Sokołowski and Filip Łobodziński. Tomasz
Gąssowski (producer and author of the music in movies: “ Zmruż oczy”,
“Sztuczki”, “ GADU GADU” for the lyrics created by Agnieszka Osiecka
(2006 EMI Polska)) was the producer and music author.

Anna Serafińska has a lot of expirience on
stage – she gave concerts in many clubs,festivals in Poland and abroad
(for example: Lithuania, Italy, Malta, Germany, Holland, Switzerland,
Ukraine, England, Finland, Sweden, Turkey, USA) and radio and television
productions.
Anna Serafińska teaches with same passion as
she has for singing. Except regular lessons she is doing some other
activities. She worked on famous”Piotruś Pan” / ”Peter Pan” produced by
Janusz Józefowicz, where she took care for vocal preparations of kids
who were playing the main parts. She was also acting in the theatrical
performance. In the year 2005 she was invited to fourth edition of a
show called IDOL as a vocal consultant of the finalists. Years 2007 –
2008 she spent as a vocal trainer in a show called “ Jak Oni Śpiewają” /
“Soap Star Super Star” She is giving many lessons in Poland and abroad.
Anna Serafińska is the leader of a band
called “ Anna Serafińska Groove Machine”
Since year 2008 she is acting in a popular
play called “ Śpiewając Jazz” / “ Singing Jazz” with Carmen Moreno (her
grandmother) and Maciej Zakościelny. She also takes part in a project
called “ Rock Loves Chopin” prepared as a tribute to the composer.
